Players from other associations:
Players are not eligible to participate in the “rust off” sessions unless they are registered for the season and have been fully transferred to East Ottawa Stars Girls Hockey Association.
Players from other OWHA associations who are not registered for the season will require a Permission to Tryout (PTT) or a release from their home association. The PTT should be emailed to the compregistrar@gcgh.ca prior to tryouts.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Junior Comp Director, Peter Syntetos jrcompdirector@gcgh.ca.
Tryout Arrival Process:
Players are asked to arrive at the arena 45 mins in advance of their ice time and make their way to the East Ottawa Stars tryout desk to check-in.
Upon check-in at the first ice time, they will be given a numbered jersey. Players are expected to wear the dedicated tryout jersey to each ice time.
All players and goalies MUST check in with the East Ottawa Stars desk before going to the locker rooms. Upon check-in they will receive their room assignments and any other information provided by the coach.
All players/goalies are asked to bring their own water bottle, pre-filled.
Above all, our goal is to provide a safe environment for our players, coaches and volunteers. If your player must miss an ice time due to a health related issue, please notify Junior Comp Director and Registrar in advance of the ice time. If your child is absent without communication, they will be deemed withdrawn from tryouts process (unless they have a medical emergency or can provide a reason of their extenuating circumstances) which will then need to be cleared and approved by East Ottawa Girls Hockey President.
